Matt has worked at the intersection of politics, economics, and journalism, where he’s covered local, state, and national politics for two Texas publications and economic news at a network in New Jersey and served as a policy analyst in Texas’ State Capitol. Above all, he enjoys learning new things every day and writing clear, interesting content.
Though he grew up in the Chicago suburbs, he’s lived in Houston and Austin and is quickly learning how to be a true Texan. He holds degrees in journalism and economics from Northwestern University. Outside of work, he sings with the Austin-based Conspirare Symphonic Choir, plays piano and guitar, and enjoys eating mac and cheese (and running to make up for it).
And these are a few of his favorite things.
