With a strong domain name, needed help with outreach and link building efforts to compete against highly competitive gifting terms.

Growth Summary approached us near the end of 2016 with the challenge of building their content marketing strategy from the ground up.

While their domain name was strong, we knew that it would have a negative impact on our outreach efforts because it felt commercial, and therefore increased the likelihood of receiving sponsored post requests. Because of this, we leaned heavily on mid- to bottom-funnel SEO posts that would drive qualified traffic.

These included gifting etiquette posts like What to Write in a Baby Shower Card and gift idea roundups like Long Distance Relationship Gifts, both of which rank #1. These types of posts not only drove traffic, but also drove sales and organic links.

We supplemented these efforts with manual link building, creating shareable content primarily around party planning and gift giving to generate 150+ LRDs.

This strategy skyrocketed organic traffic from 0 to over 295,000 visits per month.
