The wedding space is filled with Pinterest-heavy, swoon-worthy content. To match the Zola brand and appeal to their audience, we brainstormed keywords that would fit their buyer’s funnel (e.g. newly engaged brides and their bridal party). After diving into several “bachelorette” long tail keywords, we focused on content that could do double duty for rankings and link generation.
From that list, we created the post on bachelorette party themes—it included planning tips, activity ideas, destinations and matching group hashtags. In addition to ranking for “bachelorette party themes” (900 searches/mo), the post brought in 27 links for the client. Today it continues to rank #1 for many related bachelorette party terms and brings in an estimated $1,000/mo in traffic value.
