The Zebra is an innovative solution to the insurance market comparison. While shopping for insurance is necessary, many consumers weren’t familiar with the ability to compare prices. Up against copycat websites and the insurance providers themselves, The Zebra knew they needed a content marketing and link building partner they could trust with their brand in a competitive environment.

Growth summary

Creating fresh and new content in insurance can be a challenge. Subjects such as driving safety, accident statistics, home disasters, and automotive technology are frequently recycled and repeated. We were tasked with thinking of new and creative ways to talk about auto and home insurance in order to fuel monthly link building campaigns.

Each month, our team broke down The Zebra’s core topic pillars (home and auto) into content niches to discover uncovered markets. On top of relevant insurance news, other markets we started to uncover included car enthusiasts, tech reporters, travel lovers, commuters, and families. Targeting these areas allowed our team to map content ideas back to a linkable audience. We also combined this with content formats such as surveys and data studies to target higher-tier news.

We combined these ideas with our talented design team to create various graphics, including infographics, data visualizations, animations, and more. Zebra’s internal creative department cited our design team as consistently being one of the easiest to work with while also being a partner that understood their branding.

The end result was more than 1,580 links earned to their Resources section, consistently outperforming their other link building vendors across volume, quality, and relevancy.
