Nextiva is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and cloud-based communication company. They focus on customer experience, omnichannel communications, and business leadership.
Industry: SaaS
Location: Scottsdale, AZ, U.S.
Services provided: Content marketing, digital PR, organic link building
Challenges
Nextiva approached Siege Media after experiencing a down year for their SEO content. Since Nextiva had a high Domain Rating of 81, they felt comfortable using Siege Media to tackle more high-difficulty topics to outrank the competition in a highly competitive SaaS space focused on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and call centers.
Nextiva wanted to leverage Siege Media’s skills in digital PR, too. Siege Media helped strategize ways to create studies and add proprietary data to their content to earn high-quality links and become an authoritative voice in their industry.
Siege Media also needed to navigate big changes on Nextiva’s horizon. They hoped to gain more authority in important topics like customer support, engagement, and journeys, as well as marketing, social, and sales. KPIs for Nextiva included increasing traffic and rebounding from their down year, adding qualified leads from the traffic, landing on SERPs that drive commercial interest, and generating curiosity for their brand.
Growth summary
Siege Media began the content marketing strategy for Nextiva with a mix of revamped and net-new content to target high-value keywords in the VoIP SaaS industry. For the first few months, Siege Media focused on top-funnel topics to capture broad “what is” topics and other queries.
Siege Media revamped older blog posts with a few best practices and questions top of mind: How can we increase the readers’ time to value? How can this increase conversions? Then, Siege Media took a bottom-funnel approach to capture qualified leads, including posts targeting “best X software.”
In April 2024, Siege Media began a significant project: Nextiva’s State of the Customer Experience report, which included proprietary data from CX experts and professionals within Nextiva itself. This report provides comprehensive, shareable data that other CX professionals can cite. Plus, Nextiva can use the proprietary data in future posts to show their knowledge of the industry.
It hasn’t taken long for Siege Media and Nextiva’s partnership to see results and hit major KPIs. Within six months, Nextiva has increased their links to 40K, including link placements in high-DR websites like Docsumo and Foleon. Nextiva also saw the traffic value to their blog nearly double.
I have been genuinely impressed by the team's caliber for content ideation, planning, creativity, reporting, and taking on a wealth of other less-glamorous but much-needed work to help us rise up in search and get ahead of major competitors. The team is receptive to feedback, direction, and integration with our workflows. We have a lean SEO team, and Siege is a true extension of it, helping us maintain our agility and competitiveness … I fully trust their recommendations, and you will, too.
