Norton is a heavyweight in the anti-virus space and has started and stopped content marketing many times. Their reasons? Inability to find a partner that understood search, could work with multiple departments and implement strict brand guidelines. Enter: us.

Growth Summary

Norton had a massive library of existing content that had plateaued in performance, relying primarily on the Norton name to still bring in traffic. They had already covered so many topics relating to anti-virus, anti-malware and so on that we stepped in and provided guidance on how to update existing content. We focused on low ranking content and also uncovered new opportunities that were missing that Norton could easily capture rankings for. Following a refresh, content would shoot to the top of page one, earning not only valuable traffic but passive links as well.

Norton had also seen a drop in referring domains and while their authority could carry them, competitors were catching up. We started on link building to stop their downward trend and hold rankings for newly refreshed or published content. Finally, we helped their internal press team distribute timely COVID content using their internal data, earning high tier press coverage.
