BigRentz approached Siege Media with a blog that lacked direction and an off-brand link building strategy. Marketing to such a niche industry makes link building at a large scale difficult. Therefore, it was important to speak to their construction partners while not overdoing it with jargon.

In addition to their blog, BigRentz missed key middle-funnel content related to their product offerings. What they did have available performed poorly, leaving traffic on the table for their competition.

After Siege Media helped BigRentz dominate their industry through several years of engagement, a big focus became refreshing content to ensure top-performing posts remained visible on the SERP and continued to be a standout in the construction industry.

BigRentz contacted Siege Media to help expand their link building efforts while making their core products rank on the SERP. After analyzing and removing underperforming blog posts from their site, Siege Media created a mix of top-funnel assets to generate links and middle- to bottom-funnel content to generate direct conversions.

Siege Media delivered major wins by gaining industry links and press coverage with link building content. We created top- and middle-funnel informational content around rental equipment in the construction industry. As this search-driven content began to rank and create more organic traffic, BigRentz saw their core rental page rankings improve across the board.

To stand out in a niche industry like construction, we created linkable content through a mix of data visualizations, illustrations, photography, and animated content.

After many successful years of engagement with BigRentz, it was time to re-optimize older content and emphasize content refreshes. By using our best practices for content refreshes, our engagement narrowed in on post optimization.

We not only brought the content up-to-date but also increased the chances of users finding that content by implementing the B.R.A.V.E. (brand, recentness, amount, velocity, and economy) philosophy across title tags. After implementing the first round of these small refreshes, we began to see great results, with ranking increases and traffic growth across the board just one month later.

Siege Media also worked on creating, implementing, and tracking eBook CTA forms on relevant blogs to drive eBook download conversions. Before, these eBooks were only on landing pages and didn’t drive much traffic or downloads. Since implementing these pop-ups, adding GA4 tracking, and including them in our reports, we’ve seen increased monthly conversions.
